RLP Sovereign

Done. This one still has semi-hollow construction, just without the F-hole, heavily chambered sapele body with a flamed maple top finished in a sunset fade and natural binding. Five piece sapele/maple/walnut neck, chunky as requested, 25mm all the way down just like they did in the early '50s! The ebony board has a 9.5" radius, and narrow/tall jumbo Jescar EVO Gold fretwire. The fret markers are aluminium rings with padauk inserts. Handmade bone nut.

Gotoh hardware includes a vintage style string-thru bridge with compensated brass saddles, and locking tuners. The pickups are Bare Knuckle Yardbirds, their alnico IV magnets add a certain warmth and fullness, particularly in the neck, the bridge has plenty of drive and bite without being harsh. The rest of the electrics include 4 way wiring, bridge and neck in series (bit like a humbucker) on top of the expected options. Bourns 300k pots, a Mullard mustard capacitor, and a treble bleed circuit on the volume control.
