Chambering the padauk body, the position and shape of these chambers has been carefully designed by a team of Nobel nominated Swedish scientists, producing the most weight reduction and töan. Or it's possible I may have just freehand routed them, maybe. I also had to make some fairly serious relief cuts to the walnut top, its 9mm thick and that is just way too much material to bend over even a modest elbow drop.
Top glued on, trimmed and rounded over. The join is clean enough to go without any binding, which is what I was hoping for.
